BIRD Foundation approved a $900,000 grant to fund a joint project proposed by VivoText and the global toy and game leader, Hasbro. The project is titled "Life-like Speech Synthesis for Embedded Platforms". Vivo Text is focused on speech technology and has developed a text-to-speech engine producing speech synthesis virtually indistinguishable from human speech.
